How Much Does Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand Cost in 2027? 20 Schools Compared
A residential 200-hour yoga teacher training in Thailand costs $2,886 at the median (average $3,000) in our 2027 review of 20 schools. The middle 50% of published regular/reference prices range from $2,544 to $3,352. The researched packages include accommodation, although room type and meals vary. Flights and personal spending are extra.
We screened 63 schools and selected 20 residential 2027 packages. Most include shared rooms; two use private accommodation in the recorded package. Meal coverage varies: nine schools state three meals daily, eight state two, two state one, and one does not confirm the daily meal count. All Yoga Training is excluded from every market average.
If you’re planning a three- or four-week training—perhaps travelling on your own—compare the full cost, who you’ll share a room with, how much time you’ll spend practising teaching, and how supported you’ll feel. A lower headline fee is useful only if the course and living arrangements suit you.
Commercial disclosure: All Yoga Training runs its own 200-hour course in Panwa, Phuket. We publish these comparisons as a school with a commercial interest. Our pricing appears separately, and this is not an independent third-party ranking of teaching quality.

Why the Advertised Yoga Teacher Training Price Isn’t Always the Real Price
One school might quote tuition without accommodation, another includes a dorm and meals, and another offers a private room. In this study, our 20 residential price records include accommodation, but the details aren’t identical. Compare the number of nights, meal coverage, room conditions and extra fees before treating two prices as equivalent.
Tuition-only
A separate set of 12 tuition-only offers averaged $2,125. This does not cover a full residential stay: add a room, meals and transfers.
Residential package
Across all 20 accommodation-inclusive packages, the published median is $2,886 and the average is $3,000. Shared or private rooms and daily meals can change the value of each package.
Some schools also advertise early-booking offers. A conditional promotion can have a different room arrangement from the regular rate, so confirm exactly what the discounted package includes and whether it’s available for your dates.
At All Yoga Training, one known meal cost is THB 120 per lunch. Our early-bird fee covers tuition, with a limited shared-room offer; breakfast, dinner and other costs must still be budgeted separately.
What Does “All-Inclusive” Actually Include in Thailand?
We compare 20 packages at the accommodation-and-meal planning level, without splitting the main average into shared- and private-room groups. But “residential” does not mean every school supplies the same meals, room or number of nights.
Rooms and accommodation
Most recorded packages include shared rooms or dorms, while two list a private room. Check exactly how many people share the space, whether bathrooms are private and how many nights are included.
Meals
Nine schools list three daily meals, eight list two, two list one, and one does not confirm the daily number. Some meal plans cover class days only; ask about days off.
Tuition-only alternatives
A tuition-only course is a separate kind of price and may not include a room or all meals. A separate 12-school tuition-only sample averaged $2,125 before those costs.
Travel and personal extras
Flights, ferries, airport transfers, insurance, laundry, day-off meals and personal expenses may sit outside the course fee.
Four questions to ask before booking
- Accommodation: What room is included, who shares it and how many nights are covered?
- Meals: Which meals are included, and do you receive them on rest days?
- Teaching: Who teaches your intake, and how much supervised practice and individual feedback will you receive?
- Final price: Is this a regular price or conditional offer, and what are the deposit and cancellation terms?
What Isn’t Included in a Thailand Yoga Teacher Training Price?
Even a residential course may exclude your flights, a ferry, travel insurance, meals on days off and personal spending. For a first solo trip, consider how you will get to the shala after landing and whether transfers are arranged.
- Flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui or Chiang Mai, plus domestic connections.
- Ferries and island transfers. Koh Samui to Koh Phangan costs roughly THB 200–400 per person one way, depending on the operator (12Go; La Casa Shambala).
- Dinners and day-off meals at most two-meal schools.
- Travel insurance, and any visa extension.
- Yoga Alliance registration after you graduate, paid directly to Yoga Alliance.
- Laundry, extra nights, massages and excursions that are not part of the programme.
Ask whether your room is shared, mixed-gender or single-gender, and whether dietary requirements can be accommodated. These practical details can matter as much as the initial price. For arrival logistics, packing and transport, see our Thailand travel and preparation guide for yoga trainees.
Are There Hidden Fees, Taxes or Deposits?
| What is added | What we found |
|---|---|
| VAT | Two schools say their baht prices already include Thailand’s 7% VAT. |
| Payment-plan surcharge | One school charges US$2,400 instead of US$2,200 if you pay in instalments. |
| Deposits | From US$400–500 or THB 16,000 up to 30% of the course fee; several schools say the deposit is non-refundable. |
| Prices in another currency | 11 of the 20 schools price in euros, baht or Danish kroner, so the dollar cost moves with exchange rates. |
Costs vary by provider. Always request the final package price and refund rules in writing, including payment charges and taxes before transferring a deposit.
Ask before you pay:
- Is the price tuition only, or tuition plus room and meals?
- How many meals a day, and on which days?
- How many beds are in the room, and is it mixed-gender?
- Is the deposit refundable, and what happens if you change dates?
- Are there card, transfer or currency fees?
Deposit amounts and card terms vary by school; the above examples come from the study snapshot. Request written current conditions for your intake before transferring money.
How Much Spending Money Do You Need in Thailand?
On a package with two meals a day, plan for roughly US$95–630 over three weeks for extra meals, a SIM card, a scooter and local transport, with about US$250 as a typical figure.
| Item | Typical price | About |
|---|---|---|
| Local Thai meal | US$2–3 (budget dinner US$4–10) | THB 70–340 |
| Café lunch or breakfast | US$5–16 | THB 170–540 |
| Scooter (125cc), per day | THB 160–300 | US$5–9 |
| Short songthaew ride | US$2–5 | THB 70–170 |
| Tourist SIM, 30 days | THB 199 to THB 1,199 | US$6–35 |
| Visa-exemption extension (+30 days) | THB 1,900 | US$56 |
Sources: Jetsetter Alerts (July 2026); Byklo (September 2026); Travel SIM Asia (October 2026); Visas News (September 2026). Third-party prices, converted at US$1 = THB 33.81.
| What you spend on (3 weeks, 2-meal package) | Light | Typical | Comfortable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra meals (about 25 dinners and day-off meals) | US$75 | US$175 | US$350 |
| SIM card | US$6 | US$6 | US$35 |
| Scooter | US$0 | US$41 (7 days) | US$186 (21 days) |
| Local transport | US$12 | US$30 | US$60 |
| Total | about US$95 | about US$250 | about US$630 |
Our estimate, built from the unit prices above. On a three-meal package the meals line is smaller.
Build in a little flexibility for cafés, extra meals, a massage, laundry or excursions on your days off. If you would rather not ride a scooter, allow for taxis and transfers rather than assuming the scooter budget fits everyone.
What Does the Whole Thailand Yoga Training Trip Cost?
A published package price isn’t a complete trip budget. International flights, travel insurance, local transfers and personal spending can change what you ultimately pay. All Yoga’s own course also charges for main meals separately.
At the study’s October 2026 exchange rate (US$1 = THB 33.805), that is approximately $3.55 per lunch.
Buying 23 lunches would cost THB 2,760 (about $82), if lunch is available and purchased on every day. Breakfast, dinner and any meals not purchased on site are additional.

How Much Can Early-Bird Yoga Training Discounts Save?
Twelve of the 20 schools had a promotional or first-to-book price in the October 2026 research snapshot. Some deadlines may have passed, and not every school offers the same room or meal conditions on promotion.
Vikasa: $3,910 for the first ten
The regular/reference room-and-meals package starts at $5,160. The $3,910 rate covers course, room and meals for the first ten eligible students on an intake. The room is allocated by Vikasa, usually twin-share; it is not a guaranteed private room. Confirm dates, occupancy and non-refundable deposit terms.
All Yoga: $2,650 early bird
Early-bird training fee is $2,650 versus a $3,650 regular fee. A free shared room is offered to the first ten eligible students on each intake; main meals are still separate, including THB 120 on-site lunch.
Across the 20 published school records, the mean of each school’s lowest listed price was $2,734 (median $2,585). Those figures mix promotions that may have different deadlines. They are not regular rates or guaranteed 2027 offers; use the regular/reference comparison for a consistent baseline.
Booking earlier can save money, but only if the date, deposit policy, room choice and timetable actually work for you. Don’t make a non-refundable payment just to secure a crossed-out discount. For All Yoga’s own availability, check our upcoming yoga teacher training dates in Thailand and Bali.
How Long Is a Thailand Yoga Teacher Training, and What About Visas?
Courses in this study run 18 to 30 days (median 22.5 days across all 20). 8 of the 20 run 28 days or longer. Most schools teach six days a week with one day off.
Visa note: since 15 September 2026, travellers from 60 countries, including all EU states, the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland, can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism (TAT News). A stay can reportedly be extended once by up to 30 days for THB 1,900 at an immigration office, at the officer’s discretion (Visas News). 4 courses in this study run 29 or 30 days, which leaves little or no room for arrival and departure days without an extension or a visa. Whether a training course counts as tourism is for Thai immigration to decide, so check with a Thai embassy or consulate for your passport before you book flights.
How Big Are Yoga Teacher Training Groups in Thailand?
Few schools publish a cap. Among the schools we screened, published caps ranged from 5 to about 20 students, and groups of 10–12 are common at boutique schools on Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Ask how many students are booked on your intake, as well as the maximum. All Yoga Training’s Thailand course takes up to 18 students.
If personal feedback matters to you, ask how often you will teach in front of the group and how individual corrections work. A class cap is useful, but your actual intake size and teacher-to-student support matter more.
Can Beginners Join Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand?
Many schools say “all levels welcome”, but some ask for several months of regular practice; one we checked asks for four to six months. Read the prerequisites, and expect early starts and up to eight hours of training a day.
You do not have to arrive already teaching, but you should know the entry requirements and physical demands. For a first training trip on your own, ask about arrival support, daily rest time, roommate preferences and whether the teaching style suits your experience level. Our yoga teacher training FAQs on experience levels and eligibility cover common questions before applying.
Are Thailand Yoga Teacher Trainings Registered With Yoga Alliance?
Yoga Alliance does not certify teachers or accredit schools. It registers schools whose training meets its standards as Registered Yoga Schools (RYS), and graduates of an RYS 200 course can then apply to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). Your certificate comes from the school.
Most schools in this study describe their 200-hour course as Yoga Alliance registered; some use words such as “certified”, “accredited” or “aligned with Yoga Alliance standards”, which are not the same thing. We took these statements from the schools’ own sites and did not check each school in the Yoga Alliance directory, so search it yourself before you pay.
Do Yoga Teacher Training Prices Differ by Thailand Location?
Location can affect price, but a one-school area isn’t a reliable picture of an entire island. The chart below uses all 20 published residential packages; bars are hatched when there are fewer than four schools. For a broader look at teaching and location options, read our Thailand yoga teacher training school comparison.
| Area | Schools compared | Average regular/reference price |
|---|---|---|
| Koh Kood | 1 | $5,239 |
| Koh Tao | 1 | $3,372 |
| Koh Samui | 4 | $3,001 |
| Chiang Mai | 4 | $2,951 |
| Koh Phangan | 7 | $2,767 |
| Phuket & Phang Nga | 3 | $2,735 |
These are averages from the 20 sampled schools, not guaranteed prices for an entire area. A single premium programme can influence a small location average, and room type, meals and training duration can differ considerably within the same destination.
Small-sample caution: Koh Kood and Koh Tao have one school each, while Phuket/Phang Nga has three. Compare the individual course inclusions and confirm current pricing. If you are leaning towards Phuket, our comparison of yoga teacher training programmes in Phuket looks at teaching styles, group sizes and formats rather than prices alone.
When Is the Best Time for Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand?
Thailand has three official seasons (Thailand.go.th): a hot season from mid-February to mid-May, a rainy season from mid-May to mid-October, and a cooler season from mid-October to mid-February. The south does not follow the national pattern exactly: the official guide notes heavy rain continuing in the south until December.
| Months | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Mid-October to mid-February | Cooler and drier in Chiang Mai and the north, the most comfortable time to train there. In the south, rain can continue until December, and the Gulf islands (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao) are often wet in November and December. |
| Mid-February to mid-May | Hot across the country, with April usually the hottest month. In the north, seasonal burning often affects air quality around March and April; check daily readings. |
| Mid-May to mid-October | Rainy season. The Andaman coast (Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi) gets the southwest monsoon, with showers and rougher seas; the Gulf islands are often drier than the Andaman coast at this time. |
Busy dates: Songkran (Thai New Year, 13–15 April) fills transport and hotels across the country, and Koh Phangan’s monthly Full Moon Party brings crowds and higher ferry demand. Book flights and transfers early if your course overlaps.
What About Hybrid, Online and 300-Hour Courses?
- Hybrid (part online, part on-site): about US$2,000–2,800 for the on-site part with room and meals at the schools we found. Less time in Thailand, but less in-person practice teaching. For a different destination and schedule, explore our hybrid 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali.
- Fully online: usually the cheapest and most flexible option, but with no on-site immersion. We did not price online courses in this study.
- 300-hour (advanced): for graduates of a 200-hour course. One Koh Phangan school charges THB 115,000–150,000 (about US$3,400–4,440) for tuition alone.
Is Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand Worth the Money?
Is the cheapest course the best value?
Not necessarily. Our prices measure accommodation, meals, duration and advertised fees—not teaching quality, individual feedback or graduate outcomes. A high-priced private room doesn’t prove a better course, just as an inexpensive dorm doesn’t prove a worse one.
What supports good value
Named trainers for your specific dates, a real curriculum, frequent supervised practice teaching, individual feedback and transparent total costs.
What deserves scrutiny
An unclear timetable, ambiguous hours, unverified teaching staff, unexplained fee add-ons or an advertised discount with no clear deadline.
Before booking, compare who teaches your specific intake, time spent practising with fellow students, days off and individual feedback. Ask about graduates’ experiences and what support continues after training. You can read reviews from All Yoga teacher training graduates as one input to your decision. A beautiful location can make the experience more enjoyable; it does not, by itself, demonstrate teaching quality.
Where Does All Yoga Training Phuket Sit in the 2027 Market?
All Yoga Training Phuket is excluded from the 20-school research average. The $2,886 market median describes published residential packages with accommodation, but meal inclusions vary. Our $2,650 early-bird fee is the tuition price, with a complimentary shared room offered to the first ten eligible sign-ups on each intake. Main meals are purchased separately. The regular tuition fee is $3,650.

Who is the Phuket programme suitable for?
If you’re considering your first 200-hour certification—or want to deepen your practice with a supportive group—compare the actual trainers, teaching practice, roommate setup and full trip cost. All Yoga offers beachfront training in Panwa with up to 18 students; the shared room allocation is limited, and main meals are purchased separately. Ask us to confirm the total for your intake rather than relying on a starting fee.

Thailand Yoga Teacher Training Cost FAQs
These answers summarise the October 2026 research and the separately confirmed All Yoga lunch price. Click a question for the explanation.
What is a typical 200-hour yoga teacher training price in Thailand for 2027?
Across 20 published residential packages for 2027, the median price is $2,886, the average is $3,000, and the middle 50% cost $2,544–$3,352. Accommodation is included in the study’s price records, although rooms and meal plans vary. These are source-dated regular/reference prices, not guaranteed offers.
How much does Vikasa yoga teacher training in Thailand cost in 2027?
The recorded reference residential price is $5,160, including a private room and meals. A separate $3,910 first-ten-sign-ups promotion includes accommodation and meals, with a room assigned by Vikasa (usually twin-share). The main study uses $5,160 as the reference rate and lists the promotion separately. Check current availability and conditions.
How much is lunch at All Yoga Training in Phuket?
All Yoga Training confirms a lunch price of THB 120 per meal. At the 26 October 2026 exchange rate in this study, that is around US$3.55. Twenty lunches cost THB 2,400 (about $71), while 23 cost THB 2,760 (about $82). Breakfast and dinner are not included.
Does the All Yoga Training early-bird price include accommodation and meals?
Its $2,650 early-bird tuition price is separate from main meals. A complimentary four-person shared room is offered to the first ten eligible sign-ups per intake, subject to availability and confirmation. If that allocation is gone, accommodation may cost extra.
What is the cheapest residential teacher training in the comparison?
The lowest listed shared-room package in the October 2026 sample is Yoga Mat International Yoga School at $1,699 for its named 2027 intake, including a room shared by two and two meals on training days. Check the current price and suitability directly before booking.
Is Thailand cheaper than Bali for teacher training in 2027?
Our Thailand study’s median is $2,886 across 20 residential packages. Our Bali study reported $2,870 using a narrower school-site shared-room comparison. Because the research groups and room/meal inclusions differ, neither figure alone proves that one destination is cheaper. Compare actual offers, travel costs and course dates.
Do prices include flights and visa costs?
Usually not. International and domestic travel, insurance, any visa or extension fees, and personal spending need to be assessed separately. Entry requirements depend on passport and the purpose of travel.
Are prices or promotions guaranteed for 2027?
No. The dataset records published regular, reference and promotional prices checked 27–31 October 2026. An early-bird offer may have changed, expired or sold out. Confirm a written quotation for your specific intake.
Research Methodology, School Sources and Downloads
Study: All Yoga Training — Thailand Yoga Teacher Training Cost Study 2027. We screened 63 candidate schools and included 20 with published 2027 in-person 200-hour residential package prices. The comparison does not separate shared and private rooms; accommodation is included in each recorded price. Meal coverage differs, and one school does not publish a daily meal count. This curated research is not a census of every Thailand school. Vikasa’s limited-offer details were reviewed on 7 November 2026; the other prices remain from October 2026.
How were packages selected?
We used school websites and official booking systems, recording prices from 27–31 October 2026. Each included school has one published regular/reference 2027 residential package with accommodation. Shared and private rooms remain in the same 20-school statistical sample. Meals vary: nine schools list three per day, eight list two, two list one, and one does not state a daily count. All Yoga Training is excluded from every market average. This is an editorially curated sample; an omitted school is not thereby judged unsafe or illegitimate.
How do you treat Vikasa’s $3,910 promotional room-and-meals package?
Vikasa’s recorded regular/reference residential price is $5,160, with a private room and meals. Its separate $3,910 limited offer covers training, accommodation and meals for the first ten eligible sign-ups on relevant intakes. The promotional room is allocated by the provider (usually twin-share) and is not a guaranteed private room. The main 20-school average retains the published reference price; the $3,910 conditional offer is displayed in the promotions column.
Which prices and statistics are used?
The main statistics use the 20 schools’ published regular/reference residential package prices, without a shared/private room split. A reference price can be crossed out on a school website and may not be the transaction price most people pay. Published promotions are shown separately and may be unavailable now. “Middle 50%” refers to the 25th–75th percentile range using linear interpolation. The chart and table show the same set of 20 schools.
Currency conversions and dates
Conversions use exchange rates recorded for 26 October 2026: €1 = US$1.1188, US$1 = THB 33.805, and US$1 ≈ DKK 6.681. Prices were checked between 27 and 31 October 2026 and may change. All Yoga’s THB 120 lunch price was supplied directly by All Yoga for this revised publication. Dollar lunch equivalents here use the study’s historical exchange rate and are not a live FX quotation.
Important limitations
Course lengths, room occupancy, gender restrictions, taxes and meals on rest days differ. Some composite prices combine tuition and accommodation add-ons. The comparison measures published fees and stated package conditions, not training quality, reviews, accreditation compliance or actual booking prices. Verify the specific 2027 intake with the school before paying.
