For years, I’ve toyed with a simple but difficult idea: what if I actually prioritized my own self-care over my mission with Man Flow Yoga? It is incredibly easy to let the compulsion to work and be productive take over, especially when business gets stressful and the fear of failure creeps in. I’ve realized this constant drive often comes from a feeling of not being “enough,” causing me to put my own workouts, sleep, and mental health on the back burner just to keep chasing a daily productivity dopamine hit.
To break out of these anxious mental loops, the most useful strategy I’ve found is getting out of my head and into my body. By using grounding tools like yoga, breathwork, and reality checks, I can actually feel my stress instead of trying to outwork it. Ultimately, I’m learning that being more “selfish” with my self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s the only way I can genuinely show up, find true fulfillment, and be the best possible resource for the community we are building together.
