The Buddhi Yoga Teacher Training is vinyasa based yet we focus on preparing trainees to teach a wide range of students. Buddhi Yoga is in La Jolla and offers classes for all levels. Our community includes people in their 50’s, 60’s and even older. It’s important for our teachers to know modifications and sequences that are safe for beginners and older people. This is why we have basic level vinyasa classes called slow flow on the schedule everyday. When researching teacher trainings, make sure the lead teachers and the hosting studio are familiar with a wide variety of students, styles and modifications. This way you will be prepared to teach many different people rather than just young and fit students.
Who is leading the training?
It’s important to attend at least one class with the lead trainers. You will be spending many hours with them in a teacher training. It’s also important to get a sense of the staff and community of the studio. It is one of our biggest goals to make people feel warm and welcome. Taking a teacher training is joining a community. We want trainees to feel like they are part of a family during their program. If you’re local, we hope that you continue to come to our classes for years after your training is completed. This way you have a much better chance of subbing classes and eventually getting a class on our schedule.
