Grandma’s classic oatmeal cookies just got a makeover—goodbye raisins, hello M&M’S!
Walking past a cookie store in the mall or while driving down the road is immensely difficult for me to continue on my merry way. I love desserts in general, but there is something about the simplicity of a cookie that gets me every time. I can’t say no, and I don’t even want to—cookies are just so divine. But these days, I almost need to take out a small loan to purchase a few cookies at a gourmet cookie shop. Like many treats, snacks, and meals, it’s way more affordable to make them at home, and so I’m officially on my homemade cookie journey. And right now, the cookies I’m most interested in making in my kitchen are oatmeal M&M’S cookies.
When considering an oatmeal raisin cookie, some might say that the oatmeal is the best part. And honestly? I think I have to agree. So why not amplify these classic cookies by replacing the raisins with delightful M&M’S? And that’s basically how you get this wonderful recipe for oatmeal M&M’S cookies. They’re crispy on the edges, chewy on the inside, and chock-full of sweet, mouthwatering M&M’S candies. So grab your apron, get out your baking supplies, and let’s get to cookie heaven.
Are Oatmeal M&M Cookies Healthy?
Considering all the sugar, fat, and carbs, Oatmeal M&M cookies are not healthy. Old-fashioned oats do provide fiber and essential nutrients, but not enough to outweigh all those empty calories. But as always, everything in moderation, right? So, for those looking to enjoy a cookie while being mindful of their individual health goals, it’s best to enjoy oatmeal M&M cookies in smaller portions.

FAQs & Tips
These oatmeal M&M cookies are so delightful that you’ll definitely want to enjoy them for more than a day. Thankfully, they store super well, so you can! Once your cookies cool down to room temperature, place them in an airtight container. You can either keep them in your pantry or on your counter for 3-4 days or freeze them for up to 4 weeks. If you do choose to freeze them, make sure to use a freezer-safe, airtight container.
Before you bake your delicious little oatmeal M&M cookies, I recommend allowing the cookie dough to chill in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. This will ensure your cookies won’t spread in the oven and come out looking like sad little puddles. I know it’s hard to add extra time when you’re craving something sweet, but trust me on this!
If you’re a big fan of sweet and salty combos, how about sprinkling a bit of sea salt on top of your finished oatmeal M&M cookies? This is a great hack to help balance the sweetness while enhancing the flavor and making your cookies even more delectable.
