The new decade is here and this is usually when people, including myself, start making new year’s resolutions. Last year my new year’s resolution was to have more fun, for the most part I feel like did that, however I wasn’t as adventurous as I could have been. This year I am looking to make a few small changes to help upgrade my life and make an even better for myself and my family.
Let’s start with the mental upgrades: I have always considered my self a positive person, and a positive mindset has never been a struggle for me, do I however feel like sometimes I sell my self short. This year I really want to focus on manifesting the life my of my dreams and using my creativity to take things to next level. I have always believed in the power of the law of attraction, what you focus on most, you attract more of. So this year I am committing my self to my morning routine and being more productive in the morning. I am usually the first person awake in my house so its really easy for me to get my buns up do something before everyone wakes up. Do I do this now? Not really, so that is step one for me. Wake up, meditate and write down 5 things I am grateful for right now. I am also going to commit more time to my blog, adding yoga videos to the website and making more products.
My physical upgrade goals: As a yoga teacher I, fortunately get to practice yoga almost everyday, but this year I want to add in a few more forms of exercise. My plan is to add 20 to 30 mins of jogging or cycling in the morning. If I do this first, it makes it a little easier to meditate after. My next physical goal is to move into a full plant based diet. Right now I eat mostly plant based, but do eat cheese occasionally and seafood as well. In 2020 I want to eliminate the cheese/dairy completely. I am firm believer in moderation and I don’t really like to label myself, I do however know that I will feel better if do this. So I am putting these goals in writing and send them out to the Universe.
