The heavenly taste of cheeseburgers and French fries all in one perfect bite.

Everyone who knows me knows I love cheeseburgers. I’ve spent years searching for great burgers. The best in Manhattan is at Raoul’s—if you can snag one of just twelve each day, it’s worth the wait. Now that my credibility is clear, trust me: as someone who’s sampled many burgers, these cheeseburger fries deliver the same satisfaction, straight from your kitchen (no line required). It’s a simple idea—everything you want from burgers and fries, in one dish.
These cheeseburger fries have all the essentials: juicy beef cooked with Dijon and ketchup, sharp cheddar melted over hand-cut fries. Out of the oven, they’re topped with crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, fresh tomatoes, and burger sauce. It’s like nachos—but better.
I can’t resist this dish because everyone enjoys it—kids, sports fans, even my wine-sipping, gossiping girlfriends. I love that it’s welcome year-round: a Super Bowl staple, comfort food in winter, and the ideal summer party appetizer. Save this recipe—every bite is tasty, perfect for any season, and loved by all.

Plated presentation and pleasing everyone
I’ve made it clear that these cheeseburger fries are ridiculously tasty, and the one-pan dish is simple to make. However, sometimes when I serve this, I feel like it could look tidier and more intentional. I’ve always loved plating my dishes; my husband thinks it’s adorable and funny because I’m just in our kitchen. But just like anything you put time and effort into, you want it to look good. Here are some tips, which also help if you have picky eaters:
- Keep sauces and sides in pretty ramekins neatly placed around the pan. For one, the fries won’t get soggy if the cheeseburger fries aren’t gobbled up immediately. Also, this is helpful if you have picky eaters (aka kids) around. They can choose what goes on it and won’t be turned away immediately at the sight of veggies.
- Move the cheeseburger fries to a nicer platter; this is when the parchment paper comes in handy.
- Bake your dish in tartlet pans on the sheet pan and serve individual cheeseburger fries. Some people are not too keen on other people’s fingers in their food.

How do I store leftovers?
Honestly, cheeseburger fries are the kind of dish you need to enjoy right when they are ready. However, if you kept the veggies and sauces on the side, you’re in luck. Store all garnishes, separate from the fries and ground beef, in airtight containers for 2 to 3 days. When you are ready to enjoy, reheat the cheeseburger fries in an oven at 350°F until warmed through, top with garnishes as directed, and dig in!

Serving suggestions
If you are serving cheeseburger fries for a casual get-together or Sunday football, go ahead and put out the large pan, and don’t forget the tongs to make serving easier. Accompany this scrumptious dish with other perfectly picky appetizers like my all-time faves, Buffalo Chicken Dip or classic Chicken Wings. I also like to serve a platter of Healthy Nachos with my cheeseburger fries; they look nice together.
