At Ahimsa Yoga Studio, we believe yoga should leave you feeling refreshed—not overheated. That’s why our new studio in Wicker Park offers warm yoga, not hot yoga. Located at 2046 W. Division St in Chicago, we’re bringing mindful, alignment-based yoga to the heart of Wicker Park, near Bucktown, West Town, and Ukrainian Village.
What is Warm Yoga?
Warm yoga at Ahimsa means practicing in a gently heated room—around 80–85°F. It’s enough to help your muscles relax and improve flexibility without the overwhelming heat of traditional hot yoga. Whether you’re stepping into yoga for the first time or looking for a sustainable long-term practice, warm yoga is gentle on the body and perfect for Chicago’s diverse community of yogis. There is one class that will be 75° and that is Saturday Power Yoga 9am-10am.

We offer a full schedule of thoughtfully crafted classes to support your practice:

Vinyasa Flow – A dynamic, breath-based class that builds strength and fluidity. Great for all levels.
Yoga Sculpt – Add light weights and cardio bursts to your practice for a full-body workout. Expect upbeat music and a fun, high-energy environment.
Power Yoga – A vigorous, strength-based vinyasa practice that builds heat, endurance, and flexibility. Ideal for students looking to challenge themselves physically and mentally.
Slow Flow – A gentler vinyasa experience that emphasizes mindful movement, longer holds, and connection to breath. Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to slow down.
Restorative Yoga – Completely supported poses using props, held for longer periods to promote deep rest and healing. No effort, just softness.
Yin Yoga – Deep, passive stretching focused on the connective tissues. Poses are held for several minutes to increase flexibility and release stored tension. A meditative, grounding practice.
Ashtanga Yoga – A structured, traditional sequence of poses linked by breath and movement. Builds discipline, stamina, and focus. Great for students seeking a consistent, progressive practice. Stay tuned for our Mysore and Led Primary Program starting in June 2025!

High-Quality Props, Thoughtfully Laid Out
At Ahimsa Yoga Studio in Wicker Park, we provide high-quality props to support every student’s practice. Our Manduka ProLite mats are already laid out in the studio for your convenience, so you can arrive and settle in with ease. Each setup includes Manduka cork blocks and consent cards to honor your boundaries during class. We also offer Manduka 8-foot straps, cozy wool Manduka blankets, and firm Kakaos bolsters—perfect for deeper stretches, restorative poses, or simply finding more comfort and support on your mat. Whether you’re flowing, restoring, or meditating, we’ve got everything you need to feel grounded and cared for.
Why Warm, Not Hot?
Hot yoga studios in Chicago can reach temperatures over 100°F, which can be too intense for many students. Our warm yoga classes provide the perfect balance—stimulating but safe, challenging but sustainable. You’ll still break a sweat, but without the risk of dehydration or burnout.
