This extremely healthy and creamy version will change how you look at butter!
Why serve butter alone when you can easily and quickly create avocado butter? It’s rich, delicious, creamy, and healthier than plain old butter.
The number one reason to love this avocado butter is the upgrade to the health aspect of everything you add it to. Another reason you’ll fall in love with this is because it’s so rich and creamy. It just feels like an indulgence, but it’s actually a very healthy choice.
You’ll want to put this delicious butter on toast, and on every vegetable you know. It’s also good on grilled meat, crackers and as a sandwich spread, too.
Is Avocado Butter Healthy?
Avocados could be called “supercados”, since they’re a superfood providing many healthy benefits. Specifically, they’re loaded with plenty of fiber and healthy fats. They also contain potassium, magnesium, lutein and a good dose of vitamin B5. This avocado butter is always going to be a healthier option than butter alone.
How to ensure your avocado butter is delicious and creamy
It’s important to use great avocados, not hard, not soft. Choose avocados by feeling them, but also by looking at the stem end. It should be a brownish yellow. Too bright and you know the avocado is hard. Too brown and you probably already figured out that the avocado is past its prime, just by looking at it. Use good quality butter or vegan butter for the butter part of this recipe, and use freshly squeezed lemon juice. If a food processor is available, put it to work, for the creamiest effect. Scrape the sides of the processor bowl with a spatula and try not to lick it!

FAQs & Tips
The trick to preserving anything with avocado for as long as possible is to press plastic wrap right down onto the surface of the food. Keep it like this in the refrigerator and it should last for 3 to 4 days. It can also be frozen for up to 1 month
If you can’t use lemon juice for any reason, try white vinegar or rice vinegar. Apple cider vinegar, on the other hand, may give more flavor than you’d ideally like in a butter.
I prefer to buy unripe avocados and ripen them at home. If I need a ripe avocado in a day or two, I put it into a brown paper bag on the countertop along with a very ripe banana. It works like magic! If I need it right away, I put the avocado into the oven at 175° F for about 10 minutes. That also works like magic.
Serving Suggestions
Both butter and avocado were made for toast! But also for sandwich spreads, fresh bread, and even grilled or pan-seared meat. Try it with Air Fryer Toast, Pan-Seared Chicken Breast or Corn on the Cob.
It also makes a great snack with Homemade Ritz Crackers, Fire Crackers or Dill Oyster Crackers.
