If you plan on having a Mexican-themed dinner, taco rice or Spanish rice can be the perfect addition to the menu. Finally, for those with dietary restrictions, there is paleo cauliflower fried rice.
Is Instant Pot Rice Pilaf Healthy?
Thanks to its simplicity, Instant Pot rice pilaf is as healthy as any rice recipe you’ll find. The key is to follow the recipe exactly, using low-sodium chicken broth and unsalted butter. The rice itself can be a good source of carbohydrates, among other nutrients, making it a valuable part of a healthy diet.
Don’t Forget To Wash Up!
An important but sometimes overlooked part of cooking rice is washing it beforehand. To be clear, you don’t want to soak the rice in water because that can make it gummy. Instead, rinse the rice under cold water until the water running through it is completely clear. This will help to remove the extra starch from the rice, making it fluffier and easier to serve.

FAQs & Tips
Allow leftover rice pilaf to cool before placing it in an airtight container and putting it in the fridge, where it should keep for up to five days.
If your rice pilaf comes out hard, it’s usually because you didn’t allow it to cook long enough.
Serving Suggestions
There are many great meals that could use a side of rice pilaf. For instance, any type of meatloaf is a good fit, including turkey meatloaf or easy low-carb paleo meatloaf. Pork chops are another classic dish that is just begging for a side of rice. This is true for pork chops in any form, including baked bone-in pork chops and air fryer boneless pork chops. You can even use your rice pilaf to combine with other dishes, such as paleo Korean beef stew or gluten-free jambalaya.
