Welcome to the ultimate guide to Nusa Lembongan in Bali!
Are you ready to discover one of the most beautiful and secluded islands in Bali and in the world? Nusa Lembongan is a true paradise, with crystal clear waters, stunning beaches, and endless adventure opportunities.
Nusa Lembongan Location
One of the best kept secret of Bali, Nusa Lembongan is a small island located off the southeast coast of Bali, Indonesia. This beautiful island island is situated in the Badung Strait, between Bali and the neighboring island of Nusa Penida.
Nusa Lembongan is just 8 square kilometers in size and is a part of Klungkung Regency. It is a great destination for tourists and Yoga lovers looking for a quieter, more secluded alternative to the busy beaches of Bali or the hectic city of Ubud.
Best time to visit Nusa Lembongan
The best time to visit the island for the best weather is between May – September, which is the dry season. It also happens to be a perfect time for catching some waves and surfing!
The tropical climate is warm all year round, and the rainy season falls between January through to March and between November and December. The amount of rainfall can vary but usually it only rains for a short period once day; then followed by bright sunshine for the rest of the day.
Best Way to go to Nusa Lembongan
To reach the island from Denpasar International Airport (DPS), you will need to take a taxi and ferry. From the airport, a taxi takes around 30 to 40 minutes (prices around IDR 150,000) to Sanur Harbour. There are several boat operators operating from Sanur Harbour. Our favorite one is Arthamas Express as it will drop you right next our yoga shala.
Other company includes Rocky Boat Cruise, Scoot Fast Cruise and Glory Fast Boats. The yoga shala is located on Jungut Beach, which is a 30-minute boat ride from Sanur Harbour. It is highly recommended to buy a return ticket for the ferry online or at the harbour, which is roughly $40 per person. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are offered by some boat operators.
Important Note: the last ferry to Jungut Batu is at 17:30. We recommend to come at least 1 hour earlier as during high season, the pier can get very busy!
