With all the challenges and stress people are facing on a daily basis during these difficult times, there are starting to be concerns about mental health problems developing. Because I know that yoga has the potential to help with emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, anger, and grief, I decided to reach out to Dr. Lynn Somerstein, who is both a psychoanalyst and a yoga therapist, for some expert advice. I’m so grateful Lynn has agreed to do a series of posts with me on mental health topics. This first one is about anxiety.
Nina: Before we begin, can you tell us a bit about yourself, both as a psychoanalyst and as a yoga therapist.
Nina: What are some of the specific symptoms associated with anxiety?
Nina: Is there anything else you’d like to say to our readers about this topic?
